HOPE INSTRUCTIONS
Video by David Quang Pham, Fresh Ground Pepper Residency 2025
HOPE INSTRUCTIONS (2024-present) is a series of performances, installations, and zine-making workshops attempting to work hope like a muscle. It is a step-by-step, rowdy and participatory guide to radical optimism in the face of generational doom. This project is a response to many of my students and folks I mentor asking me how to have hope for the future- it is my ongoing attempt to answer with action in addition to words.
HOPE INSTRUCTIONS has been presented by: Purgatory Bk, OUCHIES Festival, Little Pond Arts Center, Soft Butch BedStuy, and at DIY events and house shows around New York and North Carolina.
Development supported by Fresh Ground Pepper.
